- Exercise discretion and responsible judgment as Web Manager for the official C&MA web site under the direction of the Vice President for Development in the Division of Development in the National Office of The Christian and Missionary Alliance. Responsible for the creation and editing of Web site content, Web site design/user interface, and oversight of technical issues related to the Web site.
- Manages the content, design/user interface, and technical aspects of the official C&MA Web site, plus auxiliary Web sites (i.e. Alliance Life, Alliance Benefits, Alliance Youth,etc.), monitoring style and editorial quality of site content and directing overall design/user interface of the site.
- Creates or solicits content for the Web site. Manages schedule for updating information. Works with divisions of the National Office to develop new ideas for presenting information. Keeps current on technical issues related to the Internet and informs others as needed. Maintains the integrity of the Web site design and regularly tests for usability.
- Work with new directors and managers to develop possibilities for ministry through the Web and trains them on the functions of the Web site.
- Monitor target audience through research, surveys, and personal contact. Prepares reports detailing Web site user statistics. Maintains contact with Web constituency through regular email correspondence. Initiates new project ideas and product improvement plans to increase usability.
- Works with marketing manager in promoting Web sites to C&MA constituencies and other groups. Manages of placement of content boxes to promote events and key C&MA functions and resources.
- Supervise the work of the two Web Designers. Assigns work/projects to Internet Application Developer and monitors work of this person.
- Prepare reports for the divisional leadership team and other meetings as requested.
- Manage domain name acquisition and keep domain name registration current.
- Provides general leadership over the National Office Intranet and directs ongoing development.
